In-Unit Washers Harbor House allows in-unit washers and dryers.
Recycling Program Harbor House is environmentally conscious and actively offers recycling services through our waste and recycling hauler, Republic Services. Click here for more info on what can and cannot (like #6 plastic and plastic bags) be accepted for recycling and learn how to properly dispose of additional items. Reminder: Source-separated recycling is required under Chapter 11-5 of the Municipal Code of Chicago effective January 1, 2017. We also offer receptacles for ewaste (broken electronics -please wipe all personal data from any hard drives prior to bringing downstairs) & expired battery recycling on the very north end in the basement.
Maintenance Staff Harbor House maintenance staff cares daily for our building and handles specific requests within the units. There is a live-in staff person available 24/7 for emergencies.
Harbor House Library The Harbor House library is maintained by volunteers and is always open. Find our library on the mezzanine level in the far end of the Lake View Room.
